What is Starry Stories?
| |
|
|
Starry Stories - is wordless and does not require translation.
There is no recognizable language spoken during the entire production,
except the language of laughter. With stretches of contemplative
poignancy (think Chaplin ), not every gag leads to guffaws.
The seriousness underneath the comedy easily carries you
along until the next explosion of hilarity.
Each viewer of the audience might find one scene
incredibly funny for entirely different reasons.
The wistful message is that we go through a tumultuous journey in our lives,
full of all sorts of unexpected travail that, seen in another light, is comical.
If you can survive the hardship that life hurls at you, there is heartfelt joy.
The play combines intellectual content and sidesplitting humor,
yet at the same time a lyrical, kind theme is clearly felt in every scene of the play.
Starry Stories is a magical theatrical experience that melds the unbridled hilarity
and the unexpected poignancy of the art of mime theatre with stunning spectacle
and awe-inspiring visual images and fantasy. |
